Well, I mentioned I would post some of my favorite ideas for quick and easy (my favorite word) holiday gift ideas! I will post a couple of entries in the next couple of days to share them with you.
To start off with, if you're a quilter, there are easy quilt patterns such as the Atkinson Designs pattern "Yellow Brick Road" or their book "Take Two and Add a Few". Many of these patterns can be made in a day or a few hours (I have these on my website for sale if interested).
Or, how about small purse or bag patterns such as those by Lazy Girl Designs? They typically use fat quarters or scraps and sew up quickly. Their website has a wonderful blog with lots of ideas, tips and techiques.
Maybe a small "Gadget Pouch"? Check out youcanmakethis.com - they have this cute pattern for sale (you simply purchase the pattern and get it as a pdf file). Neat!
Along the same line, I really love another small felt pouch - instructions are free, photos are great, and you can see it here! I am planning on making a few of these myself - you can customize the embroidery or applique to fit your style (or your gift recipient's)!
I am also setting time aside this fall to work on some of my own projects. I hope you are able to do the same!
