Here is a completed 3-D pinwheel baby quilt. I call it "Pinwheels in Boxes." It's using the same pinwheel technique in the 3-D pinwheel pattern, but I wanted to do a different setting with these fabrics from the Bees Knees line from Maywood Studio. The backing is actually from a different fabric line, but the colors look great together, and I wanted something trendy and fun as the backing. I have a couple of extra blocks left over, so may do another quilt. The blocks with the box border measure 11", and with an outer border of 2.5" the quilt measures 38" square. Perfect for babies to snuggle under.
I began prep work for the baby boy memory quilt. Interfacing has been ironed on the jersey knits, and ready to be rotary cut into squares. That will have to wait, though, as I cut out my siggy blocks for the block exchange on Cootie Bug 2's blog. The 3" of snow that fell overnight is slowly melting away. It will be gone tomorrow. My poor little tete-a-tete daffodils were drooping almost into the ground this morning, so they will be glad the snow will be gone too!
